1845 Hercules Platen Press
Over recent weeks I have been negotiating the purchase of this press from an SWE member who lives in Kent. Transport of such a heavy item the length of the country presented a few problems. In the end, the simplest solution was to drive to London and collect the press. This was done last weekend, and the table-top Hercules is now in my studio.
This rare little press has been in the recent possession of three distinguished members of the SWE, so it has pedigree.
I hope I can justify this purchase over the next few years! Time will tell.
