Feed Ring, High Auchoirk
Just finished printing a small limited edition on my book press, of my latest wood engraving. I have looked at this subject for many years and thought it would make a good painting. On my last visit, I scribbled a quick sketch and took a couple of photos.
I was keen to start another wood engraving, and decided to use my drawing as the basis and the photos as a reference. I am learning more about cutting with each block, and getting used to seeing the drawing in reverse. My printing method is improving with more experience too, although there is still much to learn on all aspects of this intriguing medium.
