Brairded Fields, Pitskelly
Following on from a wood engraving of an old gate at Pitskelly, I noted the view from the top field looking over Pitskelly farmlands. I thought I would try a watercolour of the brairded fields with bird scare markers.
The detailed painting of the trees was done later in the studio. As the site is exposed, I had to shelter from the wind behind my trusty brolly. The photos of the set-up are poor and do not show the strong colour, as I was looking into the light.
