Old Salmon Net Poles, St Cyrus
Recently I went to St. Cyrus to draw the abandoned salmon fisher buildings south of the river at St. Cyrus. To my dismay all the buildings had been demolished and cleared along with most of the salmon net poles. I did however find one tangle of ropes and poles which I thought may make a good subject. Following quick scribble in my sketchbook, a couple of photos and on my return home set out to engrave this subject. Tricky as one has to work with the reverse image.
